ODP camps out at Husted's "home"; nobody's there
So, the ODP apparently decided to have some fun with GOP SoS candidate/State Senator Jon Husted's "residency" challenge. They sent an ODP staffer (who apparently has the worst job description imaginable) to picket his house in the district with a sign that read "Jon Husted, if you can READ this sign you'd be HOME by now."
Husted's voting residence at his Kettering house in the district has been challenged because he and his wife maintain a residence in Columbus where they both work. Husted's driver license, I believe, listed his Columbus address, and an investigation by the Montgomery County Board of Elections uncovered that no water had been used in the house in over two months, despite Husted's claim of regularly returning to the house.
I still think that ultimately, Husted prevails on this residency challenge because the standard of what is required to constitute a "residence" for voting purposes is very broad. But that's not stopping the ODP for having some fun with Husted in the meantime.
And, it would appear that nobody was home even though the State Senate has been on an extended recess.
