Everyone should watch the congressional race in Ohio's third district. Jane Mitakides The Democratic challenger seems to be out campaigning her opponet Mike Turner. It seems that everyone I talk to is behind the challenger, this is most likely due to her charisma and reputation as someone who can get the job done. Mitakides has shown me that there is someone who cares about veterans rights, the enviroment(her campaign is carbon neutral) and the work force in Ohio that so desperately needs a boost. I hope everyone reading this will research the candidate and make the right choice in November. JANE IN 08!!
Turner isn't vulnerable?

What planet are you on? Hasn't he been shunned by his own party since the whole "my wife gets no bid federal contracts" scandal? EVERYONE should take a HARD look at this race. Her money is good, her numbers just keep getting better and better, and her opponent is facing serious ethics problems! And what is this with "it's conservative district?" Clearly, you haven't kept up with the voter registration numbers...Take a look and reconsider. This district went for Obama and it will go for Jane!
She has a tough race --
She has a tough race -- while Strickland carried that district in 2006, it's a very conservative district. Strickland won the district, in large part, because Blackwell had very little appeal in that area of the state, and because he had represented part of that district while in Congress.
Unfortunately, Turner isn't as vunerable as some other Republicans in Ohio, so this would be a very tough spot for the Democrats to pick up.
