30 Rock is Very funny show

30 Rock is very funny show, one that is wacky and risky. It is not a sweet, family sitcom but it sure has some really great writing. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, of course, make this show, and both are hilarious and their characters are the reason this show is so great. You can't help but feel for what they have to go through with the rest of the supporting cast, which includes the wild and wacky Jenna, over-the-top Tracy, and the likable and friendly Kenneth. I hope the 30 Rock seasons 1-6 collection dvd continues, and if you have not seen this show, please do! It's countless number of Emmy wins prove that is is one of the funniest things on Television out there. If you loved the Mean Girls movie, you will love this! If you like something right from the get-go there's the possibility that you may lose interest just as fast. 30 Rock took a bit of time to gain momentum and acquire an audience, but the payoff is worth the patience. It's a fast and smart comedy that appears to be in for a good run. With Fey's writing and Baldwin's iconic, just-above-whisper delivery the pace is brisk with a distinctive cadence. The quips and comebacks remind me of a modern vaudeville routine or Algonquin round table conversation. Blink and you might miss a subtle jab that can induce a belly laugh. In short, it's great fun. It fits well into NBC's Thursday night lineup, a must-watch program block that has been mostly unbroken since Cheers was in prime time.
